MOVEMENT OFFERINGS

Rosa Navarrete holds a degree in Dance Performance from University of California, Berkeley and is an Integrated Movement Studies alumni where she studied Movement Analysis. This training amplified her work as a choreographer, film and theater director, and writer. She is a CLMA/Bartenieff Body Worker, Choreographer & Yoga Instructor. Her work focuses on Breath, Inner-Outer Connection, Healing and Movement Expression. Rosa works with Youth, Women, Elders and Professional Artists. She uplifts Creativity through Body, Spirit, and Mental Wellness.

Yoga for Storytellers

Rosa is certified with People's Yoga Teacher Training Program . Catch her class at Casa 0101 Theater on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-2pm from November 6th-December 13th, 2023. $10 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds. Sign up below!

Body Movement for All

Rosa studied Bartenieff Fundamentals a physical practice that stems from Irmgard Bartenieff's work. She learned in Salt Lake City, Utah from Irmgard's students Peggy Hackney and Janice Meaden through their program Integrated Movement Studies.  This work celebrates the Joy of Movement through Dance, Group Movement Workshops,  and Touch Sessions. Rosa is also a "Dancing Through Parkinson's" instructor with Invertigo Dance Theatre, which uplifts communities with Parkinson's, Elders, and the General Public in accessible and joyful dance classes from chair to standing.  Group or one-on-one sessions are available. 

Choreography

Rosa has experience with Intimacy work and Music Video Choreography for indie artists. She studied choreography and dance with Cheryl Banks-Smith, Richard Kuller, Lisa Wymore, Amara Tabor-Smith and Joe Goode.
